  1. Arguing With Thermometers – Enter Shikari http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2PoGwl-7x4

  2. Style • This video is a performance video and a narrative video. So overall it’s a mix style of music video. • The reason Enter Shikarihave chosen this style is to engage their audience as the way they perform in this video is full of energy. So it gives their audience a feeling that they’re actually at one of their concerts.

  3. Integration of Lyrics • The whole narrative of the video connects with the lyrics. The whole song is about the current climate change and the oil war. • The video’s based around a news channel, and Enter Shikariare actually conducting the programme and the lead singer (Rou) is telling the news, or in other words, singing his thoughts on the current climate change to the viewers of the news channel. • This is effective because it’s as if the band are broadcasting their feelings on the current climate change to the whole world via this news channel, as this is what news channels are for. • The lead singer is lip syncing all of the lyrics, so it shows that he actually feels the words he’s saying.

  4. Editing • Constant blurring as if it’s actually being recorded. • During the breakdown the cameras start to flash. This is because breakdowns in songs are where the most energy is involved so the flashing makes it seem more energetic.

  5. Camera work • At the end when the lead singer is interviewing the politicians, the camera is shaky and handheld to make it seem more realistic.(Point of view shot). • Establishing shot/long shot to set the scene in the news room and then outside in the city. • The way Rou looks at the different cameras to the beat.

  6. Link to genre • Because Enter Shikariare a rock/electronicore band they have to produce a live atmosphere when they perform. This is why this video is full of energy as it engages their target audience a lot more.
