  6. Inform Strategy • Used simple, consistent and coordinated messages to market and inform clients of the upcoming Affordable Care Act changes. Worked with community groups to develop messaging and strategies that are culturally appropriate for 3000 HIV+ clients across Maricopa and Pinal County • Used generic language to allow for sharing with other partners • All items will be posted to Cover AZ website. Partners welcome to adapt and use in their practices • Other Chronic Disease groups are meeting in September and October to develop additional strategies

  10. Campaign to Cover Young Adults • Compiled information on 20 campuses in Maricopa and Pima Counties. • Identified top 12 campuses for broad outreach. Tier 1 ASU –Tempe, UA – Tucson, Glendale Community College, Mesa Community College, Gateway Community College, Pima Community College Tier 2 Paradise Valley Community College, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Scottsdale Community College, South Mountain Community College, Estrella Mountain Community College, ASU - Downtown • Developing specific outreach plans and timelines – both on and off campus.

Bridging Project Overview • New partnership between Administration for Children and Families, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and the Corporation for National and Community Service. • Engaging Senior Corps Grantees and Community Action Agencies in four states: Arizona, Michigan, Ohio and New Jersey. • In Arizona, the project focus is Maricopa County. • Bridging partners include: • Mesa: East Valley Adult Resources (Senior Corps Grantee) and MESACAN • Phoenix: Area Agency on Aging, Region One (Senior Corps Grantee) and City of Phoenix Community Action Program

Bridging Project Overview • Project Focus & Performance Period: 10/1/13-3/31/14 • VISTA: One year term serving at Community Action Agency. • Member assignment will be to develop systems and supports to assist individuals gain information and access to the new Affordable Care Act insurances and other assistance programs offered by the Action Agency. • VISTA member will assist with project data collection and reporting on the project performance measures. • Senior Corps:6-12 month term • At least 25 RSVP volunteers will be recruited by the participating Senior Corps programs to serve at the participating Action Agency. • RSVP volunteer will complete the training to become Certified Application Counselors to assist individuals gain information, access and to apply to the new Affordable Care Act insurances offered through the Market Place in Mesa and City of Phoenix.
