  1. Advice on Healthy Diets Some types of food are good for us and others are not. Carrots are good for us because they give us vitamins and minerals. They are good for our eyes too. We need to eat more vegetables every week. Grain products are also good for us because they give you energy. They help you run and jump! Fat and sugar is bad for us because too many sweets are bad for our teeth and make us fat. French fries ae bad for us because they have too much oil. It is a good idea too eat fewer fried food. Pasta is good for us because they can give you energy. They help you run and jump. Sweets are bad for us because they have too much sugar. They are bad for our teeth. Fish is also good for us because we need it to grow strong . We need to eat a little meat every day. Soft drinks are bad for us because they have too much sugar. They are bad for our teeth too.   4. Making Improvement My name is Kitty. I am nine years old. I am good at Art and Maths but I am weak in English and Music. I want to make a progress in my English exam because I am weak in English. I am going to keep a diary in English. I am going to study hard for my English exam. I am going to do English exercises. I am going to do revision every day too. Then I will get a hundred marks in my English exam. I want to go to school on time because I cannot get up early in the morning. I am going to go to bed early. I am going to set my clock every night too. Then I will not be late for school. I want to play my flute well because I am not good at music. I am going to practice my flute every day. I am going to practise more too. Then I will join the band. I hope I can improve myself and be a star pupil. Law Kit Yi, Kitty 4B

Dairy products are good for us because they make our bones and teeth strong. It is a good idea to look for ‘low fat’ dairy products. French fries are bad for us because they have too much oil. We need to eat fewer French fries. Chocolate is also bad for us because it has too much sugar. It is bad for our teeth and makes us fat too. It is better to eat less chocolate.   6. Marking Improvement My name is Apple. I am ten years old. I am good at English and Maths but I am weak in Chinese. I want to get good marks in Chinese tests because I am not good an Chinese. I am going to do revision everyday. I am going to do more Chinese exercises. I am going to play fewer computer games too. Then I will get a hundred marks in my Chinese test. I want to be good at sports because I am weak in sports. I am going to practise table-tennis and basketball every week. I am going to do more exercise too. Then I will be fit and strong. I want to be healthy because I get sick easily. I am going to eat healthy food. I am going to do more sports too. Then I will be slim and healthy. I hope I can improve myself and be a star pupil. I want to do better in my Chinese dictation because I am bad in Chinese. I am going to do Chinese exercises. I am going to read more books and keep a dairy in Chinese. Then I will get one hundred marks in my Chinese dictation. I want to be healthy because I always get sick. I am going to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water every day. I am going to eat broccoli because it has a lot of vitamins. Then, I will be strong. I want to keep my room tidy. I am going to tidy my room and keep things at the correct places. I am going to work hard. I am going to watch less TV. I am going to do more exercise every day too. Then I will get a hundred marks in my Chinese test. I want to be healthy because I often get sick. I am going to eat healthy food such as vegetables, fruit and fish. I am going to do more exercise too. Then, I will be very healthy. I want to do more Chinese. I don’t watch TV. I am going to eat healthily and I am going to eat less junk food. I want to go to school on time, so I am going to set my clock each night. I am going to go to bed at nine and watch less TV too.   11. About Myself I am Agnes. I am nine years old. I live in Kwun Tong. I live with my mother and father. I am tall and thin. I have long hair. My hobby is playing Chinese checkers. I started to play Chinese checkers when I was five years old. I like playing Chinese checkers because it makes me smart. I always play Chinese checkers on Saturdays. I like swimming too. I started to go to swimming when I was six years old. I like going swimming because it makes me strong. I often go swimming on Sundays. My favourite subject is English. Sweets are bad for us because they have too much sugar and they are bad for our teeth. It is a good idea to eat fewer sweets. Fried chicken wings are bad for us because they have too much oil. It is better to eat steamed chicken. We need to do exercise and don’t forget to drink eight glasses of water every day. So let’s follow this good advice and be healthy! Wong Mei Ling, May 4D
