  5. Required Courses • These are needed to graduate • EVERYONE HAS to take these! • These might change. (They do every few years)

Required High School Courses • Social Studies • World History • Civics and Economics • US History • Science • Earth Science • Biology • Physical Science • English • English I (Freshman) • English II (Sophomore) • English III (Junior) • English IV (Senior) • Math • Algebra 1 (Freshman) • Can place out of this if: • Taking Now • Teacher approves • Geometry (Sophomore) • Algebra 2 (Junior) • Math High Than Algebra 2 (Senior) • i.e. Pre Calculus

  7. Required Courses • Healthy Living/PE (1 class) • In 9th Grade • **Second Language (2 class)** • In 11th and 12th Grade • Can take all 4 if you wish • Art (1 class) • Career Cluster/Pathway Courses (4 classes) • One each year • Will talk about more in a few ** - If want to go to college

  8. Required Courses • Your teachers will decide which classes you go in in some situations! • Such as: • Algebra I or Geometry • English I or Honors English 1 • This will be told to you later

  9. Pathway Class’s • No longer a high school diploma! • Must complete to graduate High School • Have “Specialties” • Why? • High School drop out rate • Skills for Global Workforce • What does Global Workforce mean?
