Key questions • How well do in-service teacher development programs cater for changing needs? • How effectively do teachers share their accumulated wisdom, experiences and skills? • How common is it for teachers to mentor younger, or less experienced teachers? • Are there continuing experiments and explorations to find better ways of teaching and running schools? • Are we effectively using the whole range of skills and knowledge of our staff? Do we even know what these are? • Are we effectively using the whole range of skills and knowledge of our students?

Technologies to support knowledge management • Applications for capturing information; word processor, spreadsheet , web page, email, school admin programmes, EMIS programmes • Applications for cataloguing and storing information;  spreadsheet, database , school administration, EMIS programmes • Applications for transforming information;  spreadsheet, mindmapping, online thinking tools • Applications for disseminating information; and  presentation, publications, email, web pages
