  12. BELL SCHEDULE • 8:00am – Start of ArrivalStudents admitted to building (students report to the gym or cafeteria until 8:15 am). • 8:30am – 9:30am 1st CORE • 9:30-10:03am – Wolf Time33 minutes between 1st and 2nd core – used for character development, intervention and enrichment

  13. 4 CORE CLASSES 1-hour each • Language Arts • Math • Science • Social Studies

  14. BELL SCHEDULE continued… • Last 90 minutes of the day for 6th grade: Health/PE & Elective (45 minutes each) • 3:15 Buses Called/Posted on TV (Buses called by route #) • 3:20 Carpoolers/Walkers Dismissed Hallway Transitions: One grade level moving at a time

  15. COMMUNICATION Email is the quickest and the most reliable way of communicating with the team teachers. All teams send weekly emails home to parents with Team/class specific information. Weekly Principal’s Messages sent home via email (register in SchoolMessangerto receive).

  16. COMMUNICATION continued… • Agenda • Please look for interims/progress reports mid quarter throughout the school year. Report cards will be distributed through homerooms at the end of every quarter. • All teachers have active class websites and Powerschool.

  17. COMMUNICATION continued… • Conferences are scheduled through the team leaders; please email/call to set them up as needed. • Check Parent Portal to monitor your students grades.

  18. WHAT IS PARENT PORTAL, Homebase and PowerSchool? Parent Portal gives you the ability to check your child’s grades, schedule and attendance on your computer or smart phone.

PARENT PORTAL • NOW: Please feel free to set up your parent account through the elementary school to avoid a delay in receiving access to the grades, schedule and attendance information for your student. • LATER: Set up your account when your child enters middle school, please see Mrs. Morrison during WOLF CAMP. Requested access letters will be sent home in Mid-September. • Username is lunch number. Create a password to be used throughout middle school and high school.

RULES Student Code of Conduct (found in student agenda) Dress Code - Proper Dress is mandatory. • Tanks have to be 3 fingers wide • Shorts & skirts need to reach past mid-thigh • No saggy pants are allowed Electronics • Bring your own device – BYOD • Used for instructional purposes only. Students may not use devices in the hallway.

  21. Lockers • May be issued during Wolf Camp • Have an attached lock • For individual use, not to be shared. • Should be cleaned out regularly. Purchase a lock for PE now, so your child can practice over the summer

  22. SCHOOL SUPPLIES • A list of supplies will be posted on the school website & distributed at Wolf Camp. • Please do not purchase rolling back packs, they do not fit in the lockers!!!

SPORTS & CLUBS • 6th graders can be managers but are not eligible for a sport How can a 6th grader get involved? • Clubs: Art Club, Culinary, Scrabble, Student Council (SC), SC Homeroom Representative, Science Olympiad, Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Girls On The Run, Leaders Of The Pack, Drama Club • Attending sporting events, dances and performances
