  3. By his fifties, Beethoven was stone deaf. In this condition he attempted to conduct an orchestra. He failed miserably. Some five years later, Beethoven died…

  4. … During his (Nehemiah’s) absence, four areas of problems arose…

  5. Purpose: to learn the principle that Biblical leadership means ACTION

  6. I Friendships Causing Compromise (vv 1-9) A. Eliashib and Tobiah Were Friends

  7. Eliashib is referred to as high priest of the Temple (3:1; 3:28)… The point is Eliashib was one of the main religious leaders of God’s people in Jerusalem!

  8. Tobiah was an enemy of God and a constant problem to Nehemiah… Tobiah is a classic example of the rebellious unbeliever who did anything to thwart the will and work of God!

  14. We need to have like mindedness, avoiding all companionships that lead to compromising the TRUTH!
