Challenges Needing Quick Address • Three challenges are imminent in the case study. • Lack of involvement from the employees when setting the bonus goals when it comes to employee compensation (Mane, 2012). • HR department employees feel that the top management does not support their work thus creating the animosity and rife (Gusdorf, 2011). • Some of the managers grumble that the HR obscures their efforts when dealing with difficult employees.

  5. Summary of the Findings of the SWOT Assessment of HR function Strengths Weaknesses Little is being done to ensure the safety of the employees The organization lacks strategists who will lead changes in HR. There are no credible activists since the organization insists on remaining non-union (Mane, 2012). Little is being done to bring innovation and integration to HR. • PAC has been doing a commendable job in the restructure of human resource. • The management has been encouraging collaboration and employee’s relations.

  6. SWOT Analysis Continued… Opportunities Threats Laying off newly hired talents will result to bad reputation. • PAC has an opportunity of coming up with an elaborate organizational technology. • Culture and change companion will be enhanced through communities of practice. • Hiring a business expert will offer guidance in coming up with policies. • Exploration of newer ways of compensation will improve the reward system (Mane, 2012).

  7. Conclusion (Summary of the Findings) • Despite the challenges faced by PAC, there are many opportunities for growth. • These opportunities will streamline work of the HR department thus leading to the anticipated growth and collaboration (Gusdorf, 2011). • Some of the weakness in the organization are in-born and are solvable through involvement of all stakeholders including the employees (Mane, 2012).
