  2. Airports • There are 53 airports in Afghanistan since the year 2010. • This is the 90th most airports in the world. 34 of the 53 airports are unpaved, while 19 of them are paved.

  3. Paved Road Airports The distance of their airports’ runways varies. 3047+ meters long: 43046-2438 meters long: 32437-1524 meters long: 81523-914 meters long: 2Less than 913: 2

  4. Unpaved Airports • As with the paved airports, their lengths vary. 3,047 to 2,438 m: 5 2,437 to 1,524 m: 14 1,523 to 914 m: 6 Under 914 m: 9

  5. Heliport A heliport is an airport for helicopters. There are 11 of them in Afghanistan.

  6. Pipelines Pipelines are basically pipes that transport materials across a country. There are 466 kilometers of gas pipeline.

  7. Roadways • There is a total of 42,150 km of roadways in the Afghanistan. • This is the 86th most in the world. Paved: 12,350 km Unpaved: 29,800 km

  8. Waterways • There are 1,200 km of rivers in Afghanistan. Most of this is chiefly in Amu Darya, which handles vessels up to 500 DWT • This is the 59th most waterways in the world.

  9. Ports and Terminals • The only two ports in Afghanistan are Kheyrabad and Shir Khan.
