  2. Building a renewable energy and energy efficiency game board TOPIC

  3. Objectives • Pupils should be able to: • Learn and understand the importance of renewable energy & energy efficiency and incorporate them in their daily lives • Read, understand and follow the instructions in the game. • Draw and create a game board.

  4. Renewable Energy / Energy Efficiency Renewable Energy Energy efficiency Solar energy Wind Switch off the fans / lights when not in use

  5. Activities • Teacher shows an empty game board and gives the instructions to build the game board. • Pupils are divided into groups . • Pupils build their own game board based on the renewable energy and energy efficiency module. • Pupils will play the game at the next session.

  6. Instruction Manual • Pupils have to draft the squares on the board/box card. • Pupils use the questions and statements prepared by the teacher for the chance cards and the pictures. • These questions and pictures will be paste in the squares on the board.

  7. Instruction Manual • The pupils have to create the parts needed for the game board. They can build them on their own or use the materials from other game sets. • They can try the game in their own group once they finished building the board.

  8. Rules of the Game • Number of players : • 2 to 5 players

  9. Rules of the Game • Starting the game: • Players have to roll the dice. Player with the biggest number will be Player 1, the second biggest number will be Player 2, and so on. • Players will start at the ‘START’ box. • Player 1 will throw the dice. He/she will move according to the number on the dice. Player 2 will then take turn until all the players rolled the dice. Player 1 will continue with the next turn.

  10. Rules of the Game • How to play • If they land on a picture, they have to read the instructions and move according to the instructions given on the picture.

  12. Rules of the Game • If they land on the chance box (marked with a ?), they will get an opportunity to answer a question. If they answered correctly, they will get a free turn as a reward. If they answered wrongly, they will not be given a reward. ?
