ACR Mission • To serve patients and society by maximizing the value of radiology, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine and medical physics by • Advancing the science of radiology • Improving the quality of patient care • Positively influencing the socio-economics of the practice of radiology • Providing continuing education for radiology and allied health professions • Conducting research for the future of radiology

Who is the ACR? • The ACR is over 34,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and medical physicists • This includes approximately 5,000 residents and fellows as members in-training • The ACR is over 400 professional staff members in Reston, Va., Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia, Pa., and Silver Spring Md. • The ACR is over one thousand volunteers donating their time and talents

ACR Membership • If you are in a training program in the United States or Canada, you are a complimentary member of the ACR • Those individuals in a training program outside of the US or Canada can join the College at a discounted rate • Additionally, medical students interested in radiology can join the ACR as complimentary members with an application and a faculty endorsement

ACR Resident and Fellow Section • Led by an Executive Committee of seven in-training members • Meets annually during the ACR Annual Meeting in Washington D.C. • Facilitates networking both nationally and locally • Develops resources for residents • Helps to educate residents on the non-clinical aspects of radiology
