  11. .aero the Domain of Aviation Usefulness of these Industry Codes and .aero ? § These codes are generally well known, from Inside and Outside the Industry: Airline and Airport codes, Flight-Numbers, City-pairs, are easy to remember identifiers, By implementing such naming convention in the Internet world, the Industry provides their professionals and passengers with a worldwide standard, enabling simple and fast access to web applications, from PCs and Mobile Terminals(Mobile Telephones, PDAs) Access to information for Passengers § Status of Flights (Arrivals/Departures), Schedules, Bookings, Frequent-Flyer information, Could be directly retrieved, in a « standard » way, anytime, anyplace: in any A/P, for any A/L Dot Aero Council

Take advantage of the structured Namespace, and use the DNS features: Register all flight-Numbers, (by the operating A/L), possibly also by the From A/P and the To A/P, (or as a managed service) Register all City-pairs, (by the originating A/P) Implementation, using TLD Domain Name System, can be simple and very efficient Dot Aero Council
