  2. What is “mad Honey” poisoning? Honey intoxication is caused by the eating of honey produced from the nectar of rhododendrons. The grayanotoxins cause the intoxication.   3. What Are The Symptoms? Dizziness, nausea, vomiting, excess sweating, hyper salvation, and weakness are usually seen within 1-2 hours of intoxication and typically last no more than 24 hours.
