  3. Fundraising • Long term→Goal of reaching $42k (the cost of one Girard scholarship) General Mills Box tops See attached flyer for how to participate. It’s 10cents for every clipping! The family assoc. suggested to have a classroom competition within the lower school • Short term→ this school year TRAILBLAZER • Saturday, Oct. 22nd. • Show your support and school pride, pledge $30 today!

Family Resources • Farm to Families: Order your $5, $10, $15 baskets and pick it up every other Friday between 2-6 PM. • Links: Financial literacy workshops- see attached flyer for dates and information. • YMCA “Y Achievers”: students in grades 5-12 can participate in this free academic achievement and career development program.See attached flyer for details. • Comcast internet essentials: Call today to enroll 1-855-846-8376- qualified customers get internet service for $9.95 per month.   5. Feedback from last year • What did we learn from the questionnaires? Consensus is that we are on the right track! • Any suggestions moving forward? • Make the meetings less formal and more interactive. • Send out the agenda ahead of time. • Have the phone blast encourage families to tell others to attend. • Post meeting minutes online for those that cannot regularly attend. • Have more information about the college process and financial aspects around college. • Develop a course of action once concerns are brought up.

  6. Other comments/feedback from Sept. meeting • Discussion on the signing for laundry bundles this year. Accountability of the students is a concern, what can we do as parents/guardian to assist. • Reduction of our staffing vs. how it affects our campus • Other ideas for a fundraiser that is more student & family focused. Dance-a-thon?

  7. Future Meetings • Monday, October 10th 6:00 PM • Special presentations: Dollar Diva and couponing! • Friday, Nov. 18th Noon(early dismissal day) • Friday, December 2nd 4:00 PM • Jan. 11th, Feb 21st, March 8th, April 9th – all at 6:00 PM • Cares Day, Saturday, MAY 5th (9 AM-Noon)
