Connected Math 3 Activity Based Organized into 14 Instructional Focus Units: • Proportional Relationships and Reasoning • Rational Number Operations • Expressions, Equations, and Inequalities • Probability • Sampling, Inferences, and Comparing Populations • Area and Circumference of Circles, Volume, and Surface Area • Scale Drawings • Geometric Constructions Pre algebra

Organized into 12 Instructional Focus Units In Linear Algebra, instructional time focuses on three critical areas: • developing understanding of operations with rational numbers, formulating and reasoning about expressions and equations, including modeling an association in bivariate data with a linear equation, and solving linear equations and systems of linear equations • (2) grasping the concept of a function and using functions to describe quantitative relationships • (3) analyzing two- and three-dimensional space and figures using distance, angle, similarity, and congruence, and understanding and applying the Pythagorean theorem Focus #1: Introducing Transformations This unit provides an introduction to transformations as students explore the three congruence transformations: rotations, reflections, and translations. Grade book will be descriptive so parents will understand what their students are working on • 90/10 Grading • Students are marked tardy if they are not in the door when the bell rings • Students will receive nine bathroom passes per quarter – to be used at the discretion of the teacher. • Weekly bulletin will be sent out on Friday’s by team leader • Tax credit donations will support all of 7th grade (not individual teams) Grade Level Expectations
