What we set out to do… • Create an institutional data registry (metadata repository) • Increase awareness of and access to research data • Track the existence and location of completed datasets associated with QUT research projects • Qualitative snapshot of research data generated/collected by QUT researchers • Compliance with funding mandates • Contribute records to Research Data Australia, the national research data discovery service • Contribute researcher and research group records to Trove – national digital collection portal

  5. Workflow • Hybrid self-deposit (researchers) and mediated deposit (Liaison Librarians) system • 2014 – researchers will be self depositing records • Interim – Liaison Librarians to work with researchers to create records Four-tiered workfow.
