  4. Who is the target audience for this film, how do we know this from the opening scene? • Target audience: 16+ • Female - clips of baking and shoes • White - main character is white • Upper class – rich good

  5. How is the genre of the film set up in the opening scene? What key conventions have been used? • There was a clip of a knife – danger • Potential threat to someone • Quick, sharp shapes appear across the screen

  7. Do you think this is a successful opening scene? • I think that this is an interesting opening scene, as it isn’t very specific as to what the movie is about, and it shows very little about the thriller part of the movie.
