Our Purpose for having a Carnival The primary purpose of the Carnival is to raise money through the cooperative efforts of staff, pupils' and our parents' organization along with our community merchants/partners to support our school in building a strong and sustainable school of the ARTS. Supporting our school’s Main Focus of a comprehensive program of rigorous academics infused with the arts, offering instruction in dance, theatre, vocal music, visual art, band and orchestra...

  6. Every year the funds raised at the Carnivals will help our school to provide extra quality resources for Arts education that will produce stronger Academic programs for ALL of our children.

At our First Annual Carnival held in 2013, we raised $3,000 after all Carnival Expenditures were paid.These funds have been held in an account marked Carnival to allow us an opportunity to launch our 2014 Carnival and build our cash reserve so that in the Fall of 2014 we can begin to have access to these funds to support Arts resources and build stronger Academic programs here at the Folwell Performing Arts Magnet.

Things to be done ... • Timely meeting of Committee till launching of Event • Delegation of Contact person for Contacting Businesses for Support • Securing the Games and Activities for the Carnival • Delegating Contact person for those interested in Purchasing Booths for Crafts • Securing the Food Supplies for the Carnival • Establishing a Sign Up Sheet for Staff Participation and Support for Carnival • Publicity Kick- Off Work initiated by April 14, 2014 • Notification to Community by May 5, 2014 this involves putting Flyers on the doors in the neighborhood
