  9. SUCCESS!!! The work that Federation members did in Springfield on March 19, made a huge impact on the visibility of and understanding of HB684. In response to hearing from their constituents about how important community schools and HB684are to their communities, State Reps. Jack McGuire and Susana Mendoza also signed on as sponsors. Ten days later, HB684 passed out of the Illinois House of Representatives by a vote of 115-0 and Senators Kwame Raoul, A.J. Wilhelmi, and Jeff Schoenberg also introduced HB684 in the Senate the following week! We hope you all will join us again for an even bigger and stronger Springfield Advocacy Day in 2010! THANK YOU ALL!!!
