  2. Since 1993, Helping the Community Reestablish Ties with its Veterans Operation Stand Down Nashville, Inc. (OSDN) is the primary non-profit resource for Veterans in Middle Tennessee providing a wide range of life-changing social services including employment readiness training and placement assistance, transitional housing and appropriate referrals. Clients are honorably discharged Veterans. OSDN’s ultimate goal is to provide Veterans the ‘tools’ and support needed to rejoin their community as productive, responsible citizens.

Operation Stand Down Nashville, Inc. includes the following: • Veteran Service Center (VSC) • Employment Services • Patriot Partnership Program • AMVETS Career Center • Transitional Housing Program (THP) • Annual “Stand Down” event • 12th Avenue Thrift Store “Since 1993, Helping the community reestablish ties with its Veterans.”

  4. 2012 Heroes Breakfast Keynote Speaker: Vernice “FlyGirl” Armour went from beat cop to combat pilot in 3 years. Within a year she found herself flying over the deserts of Iraq supporting the men and women on the ground. After serving two tours overseas, she had become America’s First African American Female Combat Pilot.
