IF fCO2(max) corresponds with T(max) (WARMER SEASON) THEN DfCO2 is positive

DfCO2 negative: strong biological drawdown, increase of fCO2 due to vertical mixing with low temperature seawater

DfCO2 positive: warm periods fCO2 values greater than the cold ones. Seasonal temperature changes account for more than 50% of the seasonal fCO2 changes


To remove temperature effect from the observed fCO2, values were normalized to the mean annual T
