  3. I expect parents… • To send healthy, happy children to school • Ask your child about his/her day • Check agenda and make sure homework has been completed. • Contact me if you have concerns • Be encouraging and supportive • Help me in convincing your child to BELIEVE.

Bi-Weekly Math Event • Bell Work Quiz every other Friday -Weekly TCAP Countdown found in the front of each student textbook (ex. pages TN17 and TN18) -5 problems are discussed and corrected each week, M-F and M-Th with a Quiz on Friday -Every two weeks the students will receive a Bell Work Quiz GRADE = Assessment covers 10 problems The BRAIN naturally prunes information that has not been used. Practice your basic facts.

Grade Set Up • 50% - Summative Assessments • Chapter Tests • Projects 40% - Formative Assessments • Bell Work Quizzes (4 each 9 weeks) • Assessment of Mastery of Individual Skills • Other Quizzes • 10% Homework = Everyone has a 100/A+ • 5 points deducted for each missing assignment • Compass Homework (Individually assigned if the skill is not mastered)
