  1. Training for Parents - Eagle House Group Eagle House Group supports and educates children and young people with a diagnosis of autism, Asperger syndrome and social & communication disorders. Our pupils and their autism are central to everything we do, as are you; their families. We recognise the importance of working closely with you, as we understand just how tough it can be to have a child with autism. We believe that our support shouldn’t simply start and finish at the school gates, so with this in mind, we have developed an exciting programme of training sessions and workshops to help you with practical advice and fresh ideas to use in your own home. Don’t worry if you have never done anything like this before, you won’t be the only one! We understand this and make sure that our workshops are fun, informative, but also sociable occasions giving you the opportunity to be with other families who understand the glorious highs and difficult lows of bringing up a child with autism. Our workshops are open to any family who has a child with an autism spectrum disorder as well as to our families who have a child attending one of our schools. We want to help you to develop your understanding of autism, the issues surrounding it and to give you ideas for supporting your child at home, so come and join us at one of our informal sessions and we will give you ideas on how to enjoy family life to the full.
