  1. Welcome to Fourth Grade Mouseketeers 2014-2015 School Year

  2. Let’s start by talking about… Expectations of Mouseketeers

  3. Expectation 1 Don’t make a problem for yourself or for others. If a problem arises, I will help you deal with it in a fair and just manner.

  4. Expectation 2 Listen when others are talking. It shows that you are interested in what is being said.

  5. Expectation 3 Listen to and follow directions the first time. This shows that you are responsible.

  6. Expectation 4 Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself. What would be appropriate times to use your hands?

  7. Expectation 5 Raise your hand and wait politely to speak. Why is it important to raise your hand?

  8. Expectation 6 Use appropriate tone of voice. • What does this question mean? • Remember there are lots of you, and when you all talk it gets loud.

  9. Expectation 7 Stay on task and complete your work. It will affect your grade!

  10. Finally…. Above all Mouseketeers treat everyone with respect.

  11. Let’s talk What does Respect mean to you and how can we practice this in class? Does anyone have any questions?

  12. Classroom Management Plan This is how I keep you safe.

  13. Discipline Plan • Let’s talk about our rules poster. • Are there any questions?

  14. Class Dojo • You will earn positive/negative points. • We will have “free time” every Friday afternoon. • If you stay above a 92% on DoJo • The more points you earn the more time you will have in free time and you will have first pick of what you would like to do.

  15. Supportive Feedback • Verbal recognition • Individual rewards • Positive notes or email sent home • Earn points in Class Dojo • Receive Classroom Money to buy award of choice • This includes certain classroom privileges (See Anderson Token reward list) • Group points • Group with most points each week will receive Anderson tokens • Class wide rewards • Class has a word to fill in and receives one letter at a time by receiving a compliment from another teacher or class – outcome is an extra recess (this will change to Mr. Potato Head later in the year). • Class points in Dojo – if you can keep a 94% or higher, the class will receive a reward chosen by you.

  16. Corrective Actions • You will lose points in Class Dojo. • You will need to fill out a refocus sheet. • If you fill out more than 3 in one week, you will go to the office. • You will call home and explain why you are calling. • Miss A will send an email home/ or make a phone call about your behavior.

  17. How to earn Anderson Tokens • Being Productive • Following class and school rules • Having most Dojo points at the end of the day. • No messing around • No Talking • Standing appropriately in line • Working quietly • Having your planner signed

  18. When you have enough Anderson tokens • You may purchase things that are listed on the chart located on the cabinet. • Purchasing day will be on Friday’s only.

  19. Whew! • Lots of information. • We still have more to cover, but before we do let’s get up and stretch.
