  1. ILC communication InterAction Collaboration 14 July 2011 Leah Hesla ILC communication atInterAction Collaboration meeting

  2. Unified message Particle physics addresses unanswered questions about the universe. The next big particle smasher will be global. We collaborate with ‘competitive’ projects for the best possible synergies. Spin-offs already exist (though it isn’t the goal!). The ILC could be built tomorrow, but we strive to improve technologies and cost. ILC communication atInterAction Collaboration meeting

  3. Audience 2,200 ILC NewsLine subscribers 10,000 unique online visitors per month - China, France, Germany,Italy, Korea, Japan, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, UK, US and others 2,000+ linear collider community members Anyone who wants to learn about the subatomic world ILC communication atInterAction Collaboration meeting

  20. Post-2012 future From the director: “…we have been considering … R&D towards a higher energy machine of about one teraelectronvolt (TeV) (the primary design for the TDR is for 0.5 TeV). This would provide us with a flexible way to optimise the design up to about 1 TeV, again depending on LHC results.” “The LHC results will more generally help guide ILC parameters, and give us some idea whether other technical approaches like the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) Study technology or a muon collider need to be pursued to reach high enough energy.” Directors have begun discussing how communication will work in these still-formative arrangements.
