  1. Gamify Your Business Gamification is the application of game-design elements and game principles in non-game contexts. It is a set of activities and processes to solve problems by using or applying the characteristics of game elements. Can you gamify your business? Let's find out. What is the need to gamify your business? The attention span of humans is limited and it continues to decrease. When people work rigorously on the same things, they can feel disengaged and bored. Today, gamification is the kick starter that your business can use to improve user experience, employee engagement, productivity and growth. The good news is that gamification is not industry-specific! Here are some cool ways various industries are using gamification to accelerate their business 1.Gamification in Fitness Are you one of those who frowns upon the thought of waking up early to do some exercise? You are not alone! Many people procrastinate or lack the motivation to get going when it comes to fitness. Fitness is made fun by making you feel empowered and by acknowledging your achievements — however big or small. The beauty of gamification is that it accommodates the fact that everyone behaves differently and everyone needs motivation at different points in time. An example of gamification in the fitness industry are the many mobile applications available on Android, iOS, and Windows which help monitor progress and reflect achievements of your fitness routine.

  2. The mobile app collects personal health information like age, weight and blood group. The app then uses this data to prepare a customized workout and nutrition plan designed exclusively as per the user’s needs. It uses a data-driven approach to foster user engagement and motivation among users. Users can challenge friends and family and have fun together while achieving fitness goals. The app will give you results based on the workouts done over a sustained period of time. These techniques not only keeps motivating the current users but also motivates others to start their fitness regime with gamification. Burning calories was never so much fun! 2.Gamification in Corporate Social Responsibility When you integrate gamification into CSR, you’re playing for a good cause. It helps bring about awareness of important social issues and also increases the involvement of employees in such matters. Gamification is a fresh approach to encourage people to become aware and take action. Companies can encourage employees to use less paper by rewarding points and designing competitions. Employees can perform some eco-friendly tasks and draft articles and posts for the company’s social media. Employees can carpool when they come to the office to earn points and monitor their progress. They can also re-cycle items and maintain a leader-board to display the most environment-friendly employees of the week/month. 3.Gamification for shop-floor workforce Human motivation is a major factor that impacts productivity and performance at the workplace. With gamification, you can figure out and plan for the areas where your workforce needs the most attention. Training given to the workforce can be gamified with interactive sessions and experiential activities. This helps cut down costs and training time. This also helps in making corporate training effective and in improving the productivity of the workforce. Shop floor safety training is also a must. Good safety habits and safety culture can be cultivated by aligning game scenarios with safety objectives. The working mechanisms of machines and tools can be taught through gamification. There can be game quests wherein an individual has to interact with a customer according to the given situation. The shop floor arrangement can be gamified to aid the workforce in understanding the layouts properly. Even the shifts of workers can be gamified to find out which team brings out the most output!
