OUR MISSION The mission ofOuchi-O’Donovan 6-12 Complex is to provide students with a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes academic excellence, social responsibility, and college readiness. We respond to the developmental needs of middle grade learners by maximizing the potential of all students and building a sense of community to foster success at higher educational levels.

  3. INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM • GRADE 6 COURSEWORK • History and Literacy • MATH and Literacy • English Language Arts • Science and Literacy • Destination Success (ACADEMIC ELECTIVE) • Physical Education (Gender-Based) • ADVISORY (3 YEARS)

  4. Blended Learning Model • 2-3 station model: station 1- Direct Instruction /2nd station- Independent Learning (Computer based software)/ optional 3rd station- Collaborative station • 2 to 1 computer initiative- Mac Computer laptops • 15 students per station

College Yes!- I-3 Grant • All 6th Grade students will work on 2 yearly computer based projects • First project will focus on Science project during semester 1 • Second community project will focus on College Readiness during 2nd semester • Computer carts and i-pads to be used throughout the projects. • 12 students to be selected to serve as STL’s (Student Technology Leaders- Leaders)

  6. Common Core Transitional Plan • iPad Initiative- All students will receive an iPad to be used throughout Math and ELA classes. • iPads equipped with Pearson software. Curriculum directly focused on Common Core standards. • iPads will only be used during academic school hours and not taken home.
