  2. The London Marathon is a long-distance running, the world's largest marathon held in London, United Kingdom. The event was first run on 29 March 1981 and has been held in the spring of every year.The 32nd London Marathon took place on 22 April 2012, and the 33rd is planned on 21 April 2013.

  3. Once at the London Marathon set a world record among men.Women set world record three times.Paula Radcliffe ran the distance in 2 hours 15 minutes 25 seconds.
