    24. VFD OPTIONS VFD Type Standard Normal VFD Configuration Duty / Backup Two VFD’s one to take over in case of failure. Only one units operates under normal operation Duty / Standby Two VFD’s – They alternate in operation each time the system comes to rest or the pumps are triggered to cycle.

    25. DOL BACKUP MODE If a VFD fails and there is no backup for it the MPCSV can be programmed to operate as a Fixed Speed Pressure System MPCSV will attempt to restart the VFD 3 times at 15 second intervals The Pumps will start and stop a pressure points on either side of the set point.

    26. DOL BACKUP MODE

    27. OUTPUTS 4 Programmable OUTPUTS Change over contacts for NO / NC operation

    28. OUTPUTS FAULTS Fault Reporting Range of information about the fault status of the system

    29. OUTPUTS Status Reporting Information about the status of the system

    30. OUTPUTS External use relays Can be used to drive other appliances

    31. OUTPUTS PRESSURE TRIP

    32. OUTPUTS ALTERNATE TRIP

    33. INPUTS 12 Digital Inputs 4 Fixed Function 8 Programmable Analogue Inputs 4-20mA 0-10VDC Fully adjustable in software

    34. INPUTS 4 Fixed Function Pause Protection Pump 1 Protection Pump 2 Protection Pump 3

    35. INPUTS 15 Programmable options Allows full remote control Allows flexibility for all applications

    36. INPUTS FIRE MODE – All protections are disabled Cycle Pumps - Cycles the lead pump Reset – Resets all shut down faults Soft pause – Stops the system in a controlled manner Shutdown verify – Flat curved pumps verify no flow No flow – Protection for no flow in the system

    37. MULTIPLE SET POINTS Set Point 2 and 3 are selected by closing the associated Input Ideal for Building management Air conditioning Town water supply Sub-division

    38. SENSORS MPCSV comes with an onboard PRESSURE TRANSDUCER Will accept any 4-20 mA or 0-10VDC sensor input

    39. PROTECTION This protection is ideal for the following sensors:  ·          Flow switch for each pump ·          Temperature switch ·          Under current relays - for sensing low flow ·          loss of prime pressure switches

    40. VFD FAILURE Standard Mode Once failure is detected- MPCSV shuts down the VFD Waits 15 seconds Attempts to restart Continues ad infinitum Duty / Backup & Duty / Standby Mode Once failure is detected Changes VFD Detects a fault Shifts to Standard VFD mode

    41. FRICTION LOSS

    42. MPCSV can “PAUSE” from an external input EMERGENCY PAUSE Instant shutdown – restart via standard method SOFT PAUSE Controlled shutdown based on the set point dropping to ZERO PAUSE MODES

    43. PUMP LEAD PUMP CYCLE The lead pump can be cycled on: External Signal From time clock BMS signal SCADA Signal External function eg filter backwash Time base on a 24hr Basis Accurate ± 2% ie 28 min in 24hr

    44. SHUTDOWN The pump system will shut down when Only 1 pump running Shutdown Boost and measures the time taken to return to the Set Point

    45. PID CONTROL The set point control used is a PID Variant designed by Techsys Corporation R&D engineers Achieve ±2% at set point Designed for pumps Forward looking System response controlled by “RESPONSE RATE” Damping by Acceleration and Deceleration

    46. LEAD VFD - LAG SOFT STARTER

    47. ONE VFD PER PUMP

    48. CASCADING VFD SYSTEM

    49. CONTROL MODES
