  2. Conic section: the intersection of a plane and a cone. • Its distance to a point can be found with a focus and a directrix. • Can be used to find a plane of a cone.

  3. The three types of conics that you can get are; • Hyperbolas • Parabolas • And Circles/ Ellipses

  5. P = directrix • Horizontal equation: 4px=y^2 • Vertical equation: 4py=x^2 Parabolas

  6. R= radius • Horizontal equation: • Vertical equation: 𝑥^2+𝑦^2=𝑟^2 Circles

  7. In a circle, all the distances are from the same distance as the center. In an ellipse, two sides are the same while the other sides have their own distance from zero. In a parabola you're find the distance of the directrix. In a hyperbola you're finding the difference of each distance to find the foci.
