Midway ES Enrollment ReliefEffective 2013-14 School Year • Goal: Redistrict portions of Midway ES to relieve overcrowding without disrupting a student’s middle and high school feeder patterns. • Why now? • Reduce need for funding trailers at Midway and populates other schools • 14 total (3 new) trailers for next year if redistricting does not occur • Increase in high density residential construction in Midway ES attendance zone • No funding for new elementary school, earliest opening 2016 if funding secured

  2. Three Areas to Consider Moving Out of Midway • Grandfathering • Rising 5th grade students can apply for a 2013-14 Out of District status for 1 year to stay at Midway ES. Their siblings can also apply for a 1 year Out of District, but in 2014-15 they must go to the redistricted school. Transportation must be provided by the parent.
