  5. Out puts of one year • Institutions: • Registering one farmers’ cooperative with expanded membership. The Coop establishing its own office in the Mandal. – registered under MACS act • Expansion of membership in goats, sheep and fisheries networks – Increased membership in all the networks • Inter-institutional Governance Body (Producer Organisations and MandalMahilaSamakhya) formed in the Mandal with clear charter of functions. There are no GP bodies as of now - elections are pending while their term was over. – Formed Amalu committee with MMS and Farmer Coop representatives

Conti. . • Liaison with the Government: • Perspective Plan with budgets on the Comprehensive Pilot Program developed and submitted to the government with details for broader approval and to initiate district level sanctioning process. The Perspective Plan includes over all thematic program, scale of work (numbers), unit costs and approximate budget amount. - Yes • One state level meeting with senior officials (Rural Development, Agriculture, SERP, Animal Husbandry) to discuss the perspective plan and modalities of convergence on the Mandal CP. - YES • One district level convergence meeting with all related line departments resulting into formation of an Advisory Committee for the CP program. - YES • Scheme design of several themes shall be complete and discussed with the respective government departments - YES

Conti. . • Expected Implementation Outputs: • Seed banks established in 2 clusters (in addition to the one existing) - YES • Identifying of blocks together constituting about 300 ha for groundwater management and protective irrigation and submission of proposals to the rural development department for sanction. – YES, proposal submitted to RD department • Preparing ground for implementation in Rabi 2012 SRI program using MGNREGS. – 168 ac • SMS based livestock disease surveillance system initiated. – Developed with collaboration of IIIT, trainings were organised and started the work • Mapping of livestock drinking water sources in the grazing tracts initiated. – Started, process is going on • Opening up a scheme on soil fertility in some villages. Yes- Plans are prepared for 50 blocks i.e 600ac and integrating into MGNREGA is going on • Systems for fish seed sourcing / rearing established for 5 tanks - No • Groundwater analysis and mapping and a perspective plan on groundwater management – Bore well mapping completed in 6 villages and aquifer maps are ready

Broad process steps followed. . • Preparing the broad proposal and submission to RD • Getting in principle agreement • District level convergence meeting – presenting the perspective plan • Meetings to find out the fund sources for RRA proposal • Preparing dept wise proposal and submission to concerned dept • Submission of note files to Dist collector by heads of the depts to get the approvals or seeking the approvals from state authorities • Getting the clear commitments from depts • Working out the procedures for grounding the proposals

District level arrangements • DWMA – Nodal agency for RRA CP • Addl Director - Nodal officer to RRA CP • Formed RRA core group with concerned departments • Dist Collector is the chair person, PD, DWMA is the convener • Dist Collector is reviewing the CP once in a month • Minutes will be issued after every meeting. – that will be useful for us to do follow up

Institutional arrangements & support systems • At field CBOs are there • RRA team placed in mandal (8) –experienced team members (2) in this type of work • Thematic anchors from WASSAN - • Received inputs from few thematic nodes & secretariat in ideas and proposal generation • Cross learning among CPs - need to find out ways • Technical collaborations with CRIDA RARS • Interface with bureaucrats and research institutes – RRA network is gaining popularity

  14. Way forward • It is important to change the human resource deployment / increase human resource – definitely will have financial implication • Linking the Coops with financial Institute for credit • Inputs are needed from IDF on financial inclusion
