  4. Interfacing with Open Health Tools • In working on behalf of the Office of the National Coordinator, Ai is currently helping to progress the Model-Driven Health Tools (MDHT) project. Our current contributions are focused in the following areas: • Validate conformance of C-CDA documents to the standard • Validate conformance of C-CDA documents to Meaningful Use Stage 2 (MU2) criteria, or the base HL7 C-CDA Implementation Guide. • With the SITE C-CDA Validator (www.sitenv.org), our goals are as follows: • Enable rapid adoption of standards that support interoperability and certification • Reduce ambiguity in standards • Improve dialogue among implementers and Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) • Improve the implementation of standards • Answer implementation questions clearly • Guide issues to appropriate Standards Development Organization (SDO) process • Provide test implementation on pre-ballot standards for vendors to test interoperability

  5. Subject Matter Experts in Healthcare Information Systems Florida Health Information Network Purpose: To implement a statewide health information exchangefor Florida. AI is serving various full-time project rolesas a subcontractor to Harris Corporation. Outcome: One of the largest HIE implementations in the U.S. is underway and on schedule. FHIN went live with the nation’s first statewide implementation of Direct-compliant provider messaging in July 2011. • Proven track record of systems implementation and interoperability across: • Federal & state government • Statewide HIEs • IDNs and hospitals • Commercial software vendors (Harris, Microsoft, Axolotl, GE, Initiate) • Public and private payer organizations • Ambulatory sites and federally-qualified health clinics • Members of the team have: • Served in ONC & SSA’s health IT offices • Experience at large integrators, including Booz Allen, Accenture & SAIC • Architected a market-competitive end-to-end HIE solution • Developed enterprise COTS software or consulted for leaders such as Microsoft and EMC • Completed PMI PMP certification • Held delivery roles in hospital/IDN IS departments Initiate MPI Integration (CRISP) Purpose: To integrate Maryland’s Axolotl HIE infrastructure with the IBM Initiate MPI. The IBM Initiate product was procured by CRISP for its superior matching technology and flexibility Outcome: AI has project managed and architected the first integration of these products. The MPI is now in production in Maryland, housing over one million identities.
