  5. “Code Check” Software IP Assessment for Open Health Tools Members • What: • A “code check” is a comprehensive IP scan and assessment of an organization’s software assets • Why: • Open source is very often mixed with closed source code • Open source is frequently used on an ad hoc basis, little to no controls or visibility • Unknown OSS may have unmet license obligations • Benefit - An ounce of prevention… • Uncovering IP issues early makes them easier and less costly to remediate • Continuous code scanning and validation can be integrated as part of the development process

  6. “Code Check” Proposal: Two Options • Option #1 - Black Duck Professional Services Assessment of Code Base: $9,500 • For up to 500 MB of code, Black Duck’s professional services team will perform a scan of code base and produce an IP Assessment report. Black Duck will archive the results to reduce the cost of future scans and/or in the event the OHT member purchases a Black Duck subscription. • Option #2 - Black Duck subscription: Special OHT Member Offer * Pricing is for a 1-user, 12 month renewable subscription license, single-server installation, and is good for two years. Support and updates are included. “User” means a named individual who is given a user id. “Managed Code Base” means a code base owned or controlled by the Customer that is managed by Black Duck over the course of the applicable subscription Period.
