  2. Project Objective • Each student will produce an “Entertainment Employment Kit” • The “kit” will contain: • Cover letter to an agent or casting director • Envelope • Resume • Fax Cover

  3. What should the letter say? • The letter should be positive and short • The letter should semi-block style • This means that the first line of each sentence in your paragraph should be indented or inset 5 points from the left margin. • Single-spaced, neatly type

  4. What else? • Your letter should introduce yourself and indicate why you are writing the agent or casting director. • Your letter should have “good” tone • No spelling or grammatical errors. • Complimentary closing • Enclosure (inserted at the end of the letter)

  5. Is that it? • Finally, your letter should have an envelope attached to your document • The envelope should contain your return address and… • The address of the recipient.

  6. I almost forgot…! • Your letter should demonstrate “good” tone • Please do not use any slang • Please keep your letter professional sounding • Pretend you actually want the job

  7. Project Deadline • The cover letter & envelope is due: Friday, Oct. 19, 2012. • The resume and fax cover is due: Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012
