RA WORKS! • Created under Dislocated Worker Grant • Focuses on advanced manufacturing and energy industries • Expanded statewide with ARRA funding • Can pay for interim certificates including Manufacturing Skills Certificate (MSC) and the Energy Process Industry Certificate (EPIC) • Can pay up to $1250/year in related technical instruction during the period of the grant

RA Scholarships • Created in the Department of Commerce and funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act • Eligibility based up being a dislocated worker or meeting the local area definition as being underemployed • Focuses on Commerce critical industries (advanced manufacturing, aviation, bio-science/animal health, energy, professional services, and value-added agriculture), construction, and rural business succession • Open to companies and Joint Labor Management Programs • Provide up to $500/year toward the cost of related technical instruction for the first two years of a Registered Apprenticeship
