NAVY COLLEGE PROGRAMS To get started, contact a Navy College Counselor for degree planning & advice To find a Navy College Counselor Contact your servicing Navy College Office Contact the Virtual Education Center Contact Navy College Office in Theater of Operations (Contact information provided on the last slide.) Make arrangements with your professor to complete your current courses OR Not possible – then you MUST officially withdraw from the courses to avoid failing grades Your NCO can help you with TA, GI BILL and other educational financial issues – don’t leave home without us… CURRENTLY ENROLLED?

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AVAILABLE FOR IAs OPTION 1 – Enroll in college courses using Tuition Assistance Take distance learning college courses through an accredited institution recognized by Department of Education . Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership institutions are one good source of DL courses. Consider technical support required for course before making a choice.

TUITION ASSISTANCE Prior to deployment, contact local Navy College Office for educational counseling If already deployed, contact Navy College Office in theater of operation Submit tuition assistance application Navy Tuition Assistance allows 16 semester hours per FY. (Waivers available for additional funding) Pays tuition costs within Navy specific limits, up to $250 per semester hour

    7. NCPACE DISTANCE LEARNING (DL) Option 2 – Enroll in NCPACE DL Best accomplished BEFORE deployment Can be accomplished from deployment location 165 undergraduate courses offered via CD ROM. Tuition is free – students pay for textbooks

    8. NCPACE DL PROCESS FOR IAs Select from list of courses available at your local Navy College Office or from www.dlncpace.com Determine prerequisites – ensure you have met them. Navy College can advise! Ensure you do not have outstanding TA obligations. Navy College can assist! Identify an acceptable test examiner at your deployment location. This may have to wait until you arrive in theater.

    9. NCPACE DL PROCESS Request NCPACE Course Order Form and Course Registration Form via e-mail PACECOR@navy.mil or DSN 922-1779. Commercial (850) 452-1779 or any Navy College Office Fill out forms and submit to – PACECORE@navy.mil Note: use only last four digits of your SSN on order form!!

    10. After course is funded, Ordering Officer will forward to NCPACE Contractor NCPACE Contractor will personally contact you to complete registration and arrange for purchase of textbooks.
