The Vertical Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD-V) accepts feed in solution and slurry form. Whereas, Horizontal Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD-H), along with solution and slurry, also accepts feed in paste or wet powder form. Hence, dilution of feeds is avoided arising from such limitations.<br>Vertical Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD-V)and Horizontal Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD-H)have a centrally located rotor having closely fitting blades. It rotates in a precision-machined jacketed shell.<br>The feed is converted into a thin film, which is intensely agitated due to action of the high-speed rotor. <br>The feed material passes through phases of liquid, slurry, paste, wet powder and finally dry powder while in the form of an agitated thin film.<br>The biggest advantage of ATFD-V is that it is the most energy efficient dryer in the market.
