  2. Project Area • A curricular area that has started in the year 2006/2007, for the secondary level (12th grade) • 3 hours per week • Develop a research project within the students’ curriculum subjects, or future areas of study or work

  3. Project’s fases • Arranging groups • Selecting the project’s theme • Planning the work • Developing the work • Presenting the final result • Self and hetero evaluation

  5. Selecting Project’s Theme • Brainstorm • Select a theme amongst the ones suggested • Criteria used: • All the group elements should be interested • The theme should enable practical work • The theme should be related to our study area or possible employment area

  6. Project Planning • Define the project’s objectives • Define the strategies used to fulfil the objectives and the kind of final work • Identify the material and human resources needed, as well as how to get it • Enunciate possible obstacles to the project development • Distribute tasks and define their deadlines

  7. Objectives • Understand what is a community housing quarter • How did this phenomenon arise? • What is their aim? • What are the vantages and disadvantages of this kind of housing? • What do specialists think about these neighbourhoods?

  8. Objectives • Understand the role of the social associations in these neighbourhoods • What kind of activities are promoted by these institutions? • What is the importance of these associations for the neighbourhood's balance?

  9. Objectives • Alert for the exclusion of the community housing quarters • Value the social work • Promote voluntary work
