  3. Approach • Think of your own experiences in school. • What things were positive or negative? Which of those things made a difference for you? • What would have helped you excel further? • What hindered you?

  4. Putting it into perspective • Create a Spider graph – Identify 5 categories with at least 10 positive and negative things that effected your education. High School Education Rewards for good grades Didn’t encourage me much. Elementary School

  5. Attitude • The way that you speak to them • What are you feeling? • What are you communicating to them?

  6. Atmosphere • Your classroom and the way that it is structure will give forth a feeling. • Are they welcomed into your room? • Are they equals or do they feel inferior? • How do you welcome them?

  7. Actions • The steps that you take. • The things that you do. • What are you showing? • How do you respond? • What are you willing to do for them?
