November 2006 – Congress hearing; January2007 – National Association of Secretary of States (NASS) write to Senator Levin asking for time for NASS to review and make recommendations on the issue; February 2007 – Senator Levin formally asks the National Governor’s Association to take action; May 2008 - Incorporation Transparency and Law Enforcement Assistance Act; April 2010 – NASS and other express concerns with the take up of S.569. Beneficial Owners (Still a continuing issue)
