  16. User account synchronization3 options • Option 1: Single sign-on • Users in your organization can use corporate credentials to access the services in Office 365 such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. • There’s a single password to manage. • The infrastructure needed to deploy synchronization with single sign-on can be complex and requires multiple servers. Therefore, this approach may be more suited to enterprise deployments with a large number of users.

  17. User account synchronization3 options • Option 2: Active Directory synchronization • One-way synchronization relationship between your on-premises Active Directory server and Office 365. • New user, group, and contact objects that are added/deleted to on-premises are added/deleted to Office 365 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. • Passwords modified on-premises (AD) are not modified in Office 365 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. • Active Directory synchronization is a good alternative to the single sign-on approach for smaller and medium-sized organizations.

  18. User account synchronization3 options • Option 3: No synchronization • For smaller organizations with few users or no on-premises Active Directory users. This is the simplest approach but can require more long-term administrative effort. • Every time you create a new user account, you will need to create the user in two locations: on-premises Active Directory and in Office 365. Likewise, name and password changes will require editing the accounts in both locations.

  20. Email scenarios • Option 1: Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook • A popular scenario because you can access to the same data through Microsoft Outlook as the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web client. • Option 2: E-mail Router • You configure the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online E-mail Router to process both outgoing e-mail that users create in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online and incoming e-mail that will be received into and tracked in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. • Option 3: E-mail Router and forward mailbox • You configure Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online to use the E-mail Router for outgoing email and a forward mailbox for incoming email.
