  2. River Nile • The river Nile is the longest river in Egypt. • Farmers live along the banks of the Nile to grow there crops. • The river Nile flooded every year between June and September. • The Nile was the quickest way to travel.

  3. Rosetta stone • The Rosetta stone is a stone with writing on it. It was created in 196 BC. The Rosetta stone is named after the town it was discovered in,the town was called Rosetta. The Rosetta stone was found in 1799.

  4. Cleopatra Cleopatra was known for her beauty. Cleopatra was born in 59 BC and died in 30 BC. Cleopatra was married 4 times and had 4 children. When Cleopatra was 17 her father Ptolemy xii died and she was made queen.

  5. OSIRIS Osiris was killed by his brother Seth because Seth was jealous Osiris was pharaoh. Osiris was god of the underworld. All pharaohs became an Osiris when they died.

  6. Mummification • A mummy is the body of a person or an animal that has been preserved after death. The Egyptians believed in life after death. The Egyptians believed that they had to preserve their bodies so they could use them in the after life.
