  2. “What affects people’s personalities more; Nature or Nurture?” • Adam’s dog, Elcie, cowers when ever she’s threatened. Why is that? • Wolves’ instinct tell them to always search and kill prey. Why is that?

  3. Introduction • Nature vs. Nurture has baffled scientists for over 500 years. • Richard Mulcaster started this huge debate. • It all started when he said, “Nature makes the boy toward, nurture sees him forward,”.

  4. Nature • This theory says that the way we act is influenced by our genetics and DNA which were passed down to us from our parents. • As we mentioned, wolves instinct tells them to hunt for prey. This is an action that is passed down through genetics.

  5. Nurture • This theory says that the way we act is influenced by our experiences or how we were raised. • Some say that if you are abused, you are most likely going to be an abuser yourself, and that this is proof of this theory. • Adam’s dog, Elcie, cowers when threatened. She does this because she used to be abused, and she fears it might happen again.

  6. Conclusion • This final theory is the one that we support. This theory says that the way we act is a mix of both Nature and Nurture. • Some say that we are born with the way we think, which would show the nature theory, and the certain ways we were raised tell us to follow those thoughts, which would show the nurture theory.
