ADOPT Work Packages • WP1: Thematic network coordination and ADOPT Web-site development & Maintenance • WP2: Definition of the rules for information dissemination within ADOPT thematic network. • WP3: Evaluation of all clusters and recommendations to projects coordinators and to EC • WP4: Organisation of the International Workshop dedicated to P&T and ADS development • WP5: Recommendations to EC for further activities in P&T and ADS development

WP1 : ADOPT Web-site (1) • Central Bleu zone = FP5 projects = Open to all Institutions members of ADOPT Th.N. • Green zone = contain the relevant National R&D programmes for P&T and ADS. • Access to this information will be based on the result of WP2 • Country organised with Institution sub-division • access via links to local web-pages to be maintained by the local webmaster • Brown zone = contain Int. info. Relevant for ADOPT. Availability of the information should be fixed by the EU in its contracts with the entities.

  6. WP1 : ADOPT Web-site (2) • ADOPT Web-site will be used as management tool for the Th.N. (Meeting organisation, documents distribution, events announcement) • b-version will be submitted to the partners by end January 2002 • Access to publicity like information will be full open whereas project related information or contractual protected information will be identification based access. • After reaction from the member institutes, the final version will be released. • SCK•CEN will maintain the Web-site during the project period => later on ?? EU Tool for P&T / ADS prog. Mgt ?

WP2: Rules for information dissemination within ADOPT Th.N. • Will all the information generated by the FP5 projects fully open to all ADOPT members regardless to their participation in the different projects ? • Are we going to request the participant projects to make available relevant information (resulting from own programme) for the PDS-XADS, available to ADOPT ? • Should this be decided by an ADOPT Steering Committee ? Should this be discussed on case-by-case basis with the partners ? What can we offer as counter-part • How to get informed on national programmes ? • These issues should be fixed by 31.01.2002

  9. WP3: Evaluation of all clusters (2) • The ADOPT meetings will be associated to one cluster meeting but during the ADOPT meeting we should have a progress report from each Cluster. • How to deal with Nat. Programmes reviewing ?

  10. WP4: Organisation an Int. Workshop on P&T and ADS development (1) • In connection with the PDS-XADS project evaluation, the ADOPT Th.N. will organise an Int. Workshop on P&T and ADS development for having a maximum input to the ADOPT network in fulfilling its recommendation work to EU • Date : Sept-Oct 2003 (avoid interference with other events) • GLOBAL Nov 9-13, 2003 New Orleans • Place of the venue : ? (at one of the XADS designs places I, F, B)

  11. WP4: Organisation an Int. Workshop on P&T and ADS development (2) • Programme contents : should focus on Design and P&T • Need to establish the Programme Committee • Need to designate the organisation responsible

  12. WP5: Recommendations to EC for P&T and ADS development • Need to have these recommendation ASAP (based on the ETWG Roadmap document. Action for the ADOPT network coordinator to send a letter on Friday 07.12.2001 to EC (Ph. Busquin, Förström and STC) that has been drafted during the meeting after comments from D.Warin to be received on 07.12.2001 by mail or fax (to PDH, Fax +32 14 321529) to be taken into account for the “FP6” => Draft at fall 2003 => • We should take into account the industrial aspects and constraints in our work and the associated restrictions in terms of freeing results • We should focus the R&D support programme towards the assessment of the potential scientific, technical and industrial possibilities of P&T.
