  2. Your Writer’s Folder • The following 4 activities go on the inside of your folder. You can put them in there any way you want. • You can decorate the outside anyway you want. You must put at least one quote on the cover of your folder. By the end of the year, you should have at least 3 quotes memorized and that mean something to you.

  3. I.Goals (You need 3) • something you want to learn • something you want to achieve • something you want to produce • some leadership position you want to attain

  4. II. Write 5 promises to yourself. • For example… • I promise myself… • To remain strong; • To show family and friends they are important; • To think optimistically; • To grow intellectually and spiritually; • To work as hard as I can and then some; • To read more; • To enjoy the success of others as much as my own; • To learn from past mistakes; • To smile and laugh often; • To not say anything if it is not nice

Answer the following questions in complete sentences: • What do you value, or believe is important, about learning? • What do you want to accomplish as a result of acquiring an education? • What kind of leader do you want to become? • What are your specific talents and abilities? • At the end of the school year, what do you want to have achieved?

  6. IV.What do you want to do when you get out of school? • List at least 3 things you might want to study/do • List at least 3 universities/schools you might want to attend *Does each university/school have at least one of the majors you want???

  7. DUE • Your folder is due this Friday along with the book that you are reading this six weeks.
