  1. 2013 California State Games • Jan. 2013- Hired full-time Marketing Manager • June - Found out the TMD money spent on new Marketing Mgr wasn’t going to be reimbursed • July- Increased participation in 1 year by 2,000! • Aug. – Additional revenue from increase in numbers Cannot release new Marketing Mgr, due to success • Dec. – 1st time in 25 years, CSG has ended year in the red.

  6. 2014 Mike Dempsey Intl. Table Tennis • 600 estimated Hotel Room Nights in Off-Peak Season(1st week in December) • Paralympic International Table TennisTournament • 25+ Countries

GOAL: To increase participation in the Games’ events, provide easy access to hotels to athletes, & increase hotel room nights SDTMD Funding 2015 Fiscal Year • Direct link to TMD Hotels on our Website • Increase advertising to Sport Teams across the state with link • Printing Promotional materials including posters, postcards, and flyers with link • Fund staff to oversee Housing Program • Support Marketing Staff • Attend coaches meetings around the state • Attend events around the state to recruit athletes • Website marketing • Partnering with other events and organizations • Bonus Incentive for Sport Directors to increase number of athletes in their sport

  8. California State GamesTMD Fiscal Year 2015 • Generate an estimated 15,600 room nights • Housing Revenue of $2 million (based on contracted average rate of $132) • Requested SDTMD funding = $150,000 • Return on Investment = 13.7 : 1
