INSTRUCTION PROCESS • Review schedule, map • Confirm PC connectivity in Instructor Ready Room • Set up brief, adjust lights • Start promptly at hour • Distribute attendance/critiques • Presentation • Stop @ hour:45; hour:50 absolute • Consolidate attendance/critiques for hourly pickup • Vacate class room promptly for next session set-up • Multiple-hour classes, ten minute break/hour • Retrieve critique summary outside Data Center • Dismiss Wed classes 1140 to attend luncheon

  6. CLASS LENGTH • All classes are committed to 50 minutes, or multiples thereof, of quality instruction. Class sessions <50 minutes are not acceptable.

  7. CRITIQUES • Feedback Forms: Student- • Class rooms pre-stocked; supply at info booths Instructor- • Post-symposium critique via email • Collection: • Have students complete and pass all to center • After each session, place all student critiques on table nearest exit door • Retrieve critique summary by Data Center • Typically available < two hours after each session

BAR CODE ATTENDANCE • Characteristics: • Critical control element • Unique sheet for each class session • Insufficient sheets: Put all session data on blank • Multiple instructors/class: Sheets only in one • Distribution: • Hold until class start, all seated, door closed • Multiple hour class: distribute in final hour • Begin circulation rear to front • Collection: • Pick up immediately upon front row completion • After each session, place all bar code attendance sheets on table nearest exit door

CLASS ROOMS • Audiovisual: • Standard: PC projector, screen • Standard add: your request • May not be ready until your class time • Microphones in larger rooms • Temperature: • Centrally controlled, continually monitored, always a challenge • Lighting: • Control panel in each room, you adjust • Instructor Ready Room: • By Data Center • 0600-1700 • Computers, projector, printer, supplies • No copier • External Noise: • Close doors as needed • Security: leave nothing
