  2. Water Heating – Natural Gas – Avista and BETC PT • Recommendation: Apply for incentives & BETC PT Tax Credits available for high efficiency.

  3. Energy Efficiency Incentives-Energy Trust • Recommendation: Apply for Energy Trust of Oregon-Electric Conservation incentives. • Electric Motors: $10/hp for Premium Efficiency Based upon 200 hp = $2,000 Incentive

  4. Two Solar Technologies Photovoltaic (PV) Panels – Generate Electricity Thermal Panels – Heat Water

  5. Renewable Incentives-Energy Trust-Net metering • 79 kW system based upon 9,600 s.f. of shade/roof • Cost: ~ $434,500 • ETO inc. – 87,400 • BETC PT~159,896 • Net: $187,204 • Energy Savings=$7,200/yr • Simple Payback = 26 years

  6. Solar Ready-Electric • Recommendation: Make facility ready for solar PV installation. • South facing roof or solar shade ~27º pitch • Architectural standing seam roof • Conduits and space for inverter • Apply for SEP Grants

  7. Water Heating - Solar • Recommendation: Consider solar thermal on outdoor facility only if natural gas incentives and BETC PT tax credits are available. Up to 140,000 BTUs of thermal power per square foot. Can be very cost effective. Only 36.8% BETC PT available now.

  8. Water Heating - Solar • Recommendation: Consider thermal solar if BETC PT and natural gas incentives are available. A year-around-facility requires thermal panels that can withstand cold and are 4 X the cost.
