  3. Ben Jonson1572-1637 First worked as a bricklayer Later joined the army -Imprisoned for The Isle of Dogs -Later killed fellow actor -Wrote many comedies -Started to concentrate more on masques -First to have comedic masques -Buried in Westminster Abbey

Sir Thomas Browne1605-1682 • He studied religion, medicine, science and the Esoteric • Attended Winchester College, Oxford, Leiden, The University of Montpellier, and the University of Padua. • Best Known for writting Religio Medici, which has been translated into French, Latin, Italian, and Dutch

  5. Sir Isaac Newton1642-1727 • One of the most influential men. • Wrote the most influential book in science. • Wrote out of fear of others stealing his ideas. • Member of parliament (1689-1690) • Recognized as having a greater effect on the history of science than Einstein.
